To Asgard

As I lay my weary head down,
I can see his form beside my own,
He may not be truly there,
But my heart tells me he is.

Before sleep takes me,
I can feel his touch,
Warm and gentle.
His embrace curls around me,
To take me to a world forgotten.

He soothes me with a caress,
His dark hair falls and pools on my neck.
His lips rest near my forehead,
And fingers run through my hair.

As my eyes close,
He takes me to the realm Asgard,
Of riches and gods at play.
Now he stands beside me,
Hand out stretched and waiting.

I grasp and he shows me his world,
Its beauty vast and gardens lush.
A palace made of gold and precious stone,
It was of grand proportions.

He twirls me while we dance in the great room,
Swaying softly together after.
His eyes hooded hold mine,
Coming close...He takes a kiss,
Whispering sweet things,
Words of love and frolic.

A moment later,
I find myself lying beside him again.
His skin fair and hair of raven,
His gaze upon me,
My eyes close feeling his touch.

The golden rays skitter across my blanket,
He has vanished from sight.

My prince,
So kind and playful,
Soft and graceful is he,
By the name,
Loki
My first ever poem,

I was extremely inspired by the time when I go to bed. (minds unravel and relax)

I would on occasion fall asleep to these very thoughts. More or less my dream within poem.

Please tell me how I did :D

Nice, I'm not much for poetry and I got this...well done!
